Green Grotto Caves
The Green Grotto Caves are on Jamaica’s north coast at Discovery Bay, west of Ocho Rios. The limestone caves are lined with green algae that gives them their trademark name. The caverns are home to bats and marine life, and over the centuries have been a hideout for fugitives and refuge for runaway slaves. Hidden away in an inner cavern is the crystal-clear Grotto Lake. Overhead, pockets in the limestone provide filtered light through the caverns’ forest of stalactites and stalagmites.

Greenwood Great House
Originally belonging to the family of Elizabeth Barrett Browning one of the most prominent love poets of the Victorian era. The Georgian-style great house was built in the 1780s for a large sugar plantation. The family treated their slaves relatively well and provided them with education. The plantation survived the Christmas Rebellion of 1831, when 60,000 of Jamaica’s slave population of 300,000 revolted and set fire to a great number of plantation buildings. Greenwood Great House is home to the largest antique collection in the Caribbean, and boasts magnificent views of Montego Bay and surrounding areas from it's mountaintop perch.
